The 1940's Style Snood
This Snood has been a big hit in my shop. But I was never so thrilled as when a recent customer gave me this rave :
"The snoods (sic) arrived today and I completely love them!! My daughter had on a yellow top for school so she wore the yellow one all afternoon after school- it looks terrific on her. Her hair is much longer than mine. I have the yellow on now as I type and I really it on even with my hair being shorter. I'm delighted! Ahhh, so easy to deal with my hair with having this. I'd love to have you make up 3 more for us..."-- A 1940s vintage loving lady in CA
There is nothing better then crafting something by hand and having it loved!

It's a Very Dorothy Parker Day.....
Symptom Recital
I do not like my state of mind;
I'm bitter, querulous, unkind.
I hate my legs, I hate my hands,
I do not yearn for lovelier lands.
I dread the dawn's recurrent light;
I hate to go to bed at night.
I snoot at simple, earnest folk.
I cannot take the gentlest joke.
I find no peace in paint or type.
My world is but a lot of tripe.
I'm disillusioned, empty-breasted.
For what I think, I'd be arrested.
I am not sick, I am not well.
My quondam dreams are shot to hell.
My soul is crushed, my spirit sore;
I do not like me any more.
I cavil, quarrel, grumble, grouse.
I ponder on the narrow house.
I shudder at the thought of men....
I'm due to fall in love again.
