Pinup Inspiration

A while back Miss Amanda Lee asked if I could customize a vintage snood pattern for her. Here are the results:

You can own one now too! I have added this style to my Etsy shop. It is currently available in five colors but feel free to contact me to request any other color. Miss Amanda Lee loves hers, and I know you will too!

Jitterbugdoll's Custom Snood

Photobucket
A while back the lovely Miss Amanda Lee contacted me with an idea for a snood she wanted. She liked the beaded open crown snood but wondered if I could make a version of it with a narrow headband. I adjusted the original design for her and here are the photo's of the results. I think it looks wonderful on her! Thank you Amanda!

Memories of Farley Granger

Hollywood lost another old movie star yesterday. Farley Granger passed away yesterday at the age of 85. Most know for his roles in Alfred Hitchcock's "Strangers On A Train" and "The Rope", one of his lesser known films and one I really like is "Side Street". If you ever catch it on TCM be sure to check it out.

Back in September of 2007 my husband and son attended the Pine Bluff Film Festival and had the opportunity of meeting Mr.Granger and viewing "Strangers On A Train" in a historic old movie theater. It was a lovely experience. Here are some photo's from that night.

Anchors Aweigh!!

One of my very best clients had a request for a 1940's style popcorn stitch bag. I used my Lillian vintage pattern to make her this darling bag in navy blue with a nautical print lining and tiny anchor zipper pull. The handle is accented with clear sparkled plastic rings.
