Sew For Victory With Lucky Lucille!!

I am so excited to be joining another sew-along with Lucky Lucille! My last one was the September Fall For Cotton sew-along and I just loved it! I made this Vintage Vogue repro pattern dress in a vintagey cotton print.
Might be switching patterns/fabric.
Vogue 8811Untitled
For this sew-along I have chosen  vintage 1940's Hollywood pattern 471, I am planning on doing version 1 in the vintage voile floral print on the left. I still need to shop for my collar and cuff fabric and ruffle trim. I am very excited to finally make this pattern as I have had it for quite a while.
If you would like the join me and a bunch of other lovely ladies in this sew-along, just click on the button on the right of my blog. It's loads of fun! Hope to see you there!

Introducing The Vintage Bunny!

I am pleased to announce the arrival of a new style snood  called  The Vintage Bunny!  Made from the same pattern as the traditional 1940s style snood, this model is made from a lovely mohair and silk blend yarn.
It is very soft and light as a feather!

The mohair creates a fuzzy halo for your hair!

It is accented by a small matching grosgrain ribbon which is removable. It is available as shown in white and sky blue. I also have yarn to make it in turquoise and baby pink. The Vintage Bunny will add  that extra bit of fun to your snood wardrobe! Thank you to Lolita Haze for modeling it for me!

A Big THANK YOU To My Newest Photographer And Models

.

I was thrilled when pinup photographer Autumn Luciano contacted me to do some photo's of her models wearing my snoods. Having looked through Autumn's portfolio I didn't hesitate a moment knowing the photo's she would take would be amazing!
Autumn worked with the yellow, cherry red and white snoods and came up with some spectacular shots. The lovely models are Frankie Louveles (red and yellow) and Valerie Boerema
(white)

Autumn is also currently working on a pinup calendar called Pin Ups Love Pussycats.
Pin ups love pussycats is a calendar project consisting of the donated talents of many wonderful ladies. 100% of the profits from the calendar will benefit The Mid-Michigan Cat Rescue, in hopes to secure a larger facility to house the ever growing population of homeless cats through out Mid-Michigan. MMCR is a NO-KILL organization.

Jitterbugdoll's Custom Snood

Photobucket
A while back the lovely Miss Amanda Lee contacted me with an idea for a snood she wanted. She liked the beaded open crown snood but wondered if I could make a version of it with a narrow headband. I adjusted the original design for her and here are the photo's of the results. I think it looks wonderful on her! Thank you Amanda!

Anchors Aweigh!!

One of my very best clients had a request for a 1940's style popcorn stitch bag. I used my Lillian vintage pattern to make her this darling bag in navy blue with a nautical print lining and tiny anchor zipper pull. The handle is accented with clear sparkled plastic rings.
